TECHNOLOGY IN PARADISE
Richard Moriarty had a specific request for the solar electric system that was to be mounted on the winery’s roof: minimal roof penetration. Advanced Solar Electric’s designers and engineers came up with a solution that satisfied both Mr. Moriarty and the city of Newport Beach.
Creative engineering allowed a 9kW solar electric system to be mounted of the winery itself, with virtually no penetration into the roof. Naturally, the city of Newport Beach wanted to ensure the solar system would be secured against wind. They were not easy to satisfy, and the approval process was difficult. In this unusual circumstance, it took Advanced Solar Electric a year and half of cutting through bureaucratic hoops to satisfy the safety concerns of the city while still meeting the client’s wishes.
Tenacity and quality won out. Newport Beach Winery now enjoys drastically reduced electric bills.
Now that the winery installation has been completed, a solar electric system will be installed on the main residence – a beautiful modern abode.
